Colorado Leather Fest (CLF) is a private membership only organization not open to the public. By registering for the event, you are purchasing an annual membership to Colorado Leather Fest. With full membership registration, you are entitled to attend the 2018 Colorado Leather Fest event. There are various levels of membership besides full member. These memberships include but are not limited to: staff membership, presenter membership, contest membership, bootblack membership, volunteer membership, and media membership. By completing online membership application, you are requesting membership in this organization. Once the membership application is accepted and membership dues are received, you will be a duly sworn member and must abide by these rules at organization events.
Membership may not be transferred to another person. In order to change membership, the original membership must be cancelled via the cancellation policy, and a new membership in a different name must be purchased.
The contract with the hotel does not allow vending of any products, items or services from hotel rooms, the parking lot, the lobby, or in any other area of the hotel or hotel property, other than by authorized CLF staff.
The privacy of members is paramount to CLF. Photographic/video/audio recordings of any kind are not allowed at CLF by any members except in private guest rooms. Select media representatives may have pre-authorization to take photos. We suggest that members leave their cameras in their guest room. Any member caught using a camera (including cellphone cameras) in restricted areas may have their membership immediately cancelled and the equipment confiscated and checked to ensure that no photos or recordings were taken. They may also be banned from future membership. The only exception to this rule is after contest winners are announced on Saturday evening. At that time, the Emcee will announce that photography of the contest/award winners will be allowed for a short time.
CLF pre-authorized media representatives will have photo privileges throughout the weekend. These pre-authorized members will be identified by a colored MEDIA tag attached to their CLF name badge.
Members who do not wish to have their photograph taken must request a special colored name badge insert when they register.
Members without the colored name badge insert authorize and permit, as part of their membership, CLF and its media designees to use their name, likeness and all reproduction thereof in any and all media now or hereafter. This includes use of photos for marketing on social media, the CLF website, and other locations.
Media photography will not be allowed in private gatherings. Media members must request prior permission from the presenter member before taking photographs in seminars.
Cell phone use (including but not limited to Android, Windows Phone, iPhone, and Blackberry) is allowed in the general social areas of CLF, but the camera and recording features of these devices may not be used.
Portable computers and tablets (including but not limited to Windows, Macintosh, Android, and iPad) are allowed in the general social areas of CLF, but the camera and recording features of these devices may not be used.
Cell phone and computer use (as defined above) is not allowed during seminars (except by presenters as part of their seminar needs) and other scheduled CLF activities. Cellphones (as defined above) must not be visible and must be turned off or switched to silent during seminars and other scheduled CLF activities.
We ask that each of you assist us in watching out for any member who has a camera, computer, tablet or cell phone and who might be taking photos, video or audio. If you see a person whom you suspect is taking pictures, please contact the nearest CLF team member and let that person know. The CLF team member will contact a member of the CLF Board, and we will investigate the situation.
Alcohol consumption is only allowed by members age 21 and over. Members under the age of 21 discovered to be consuming alcoholic beverages, or providing alcohol to members under the age of 21, at CLF will be immediately removed from the event, with no refund of any part of paid dues and their membership privileges will be cancelled.
Alcohol must be consumed within the hotel and may not be taken outside of the building, per Colorado Liquor Law.
Non-prescription drugs are not allowed except for over-the-counter medications. Illegal or recreational drugs are absolutely not permitted anywhere at CLF at any time. If a CLF team member suspects that a member is using or in possession of drugs, the member will be immediately removed from the event, with no refund of any part of paid dues, and their membership privileges will be cancelled.
Marijuana can be purchased legally in Colorado. However, retail marijuana is intended for private, personal use. Such use is only legal in certain locations not open or accessible to the public. In Colorado, marijuana may not be consumed openly or publicly. The hotel is a non-smoking facility. Marijuana may not be consumed on hotel property.
CLF is not a “play” event. Our focus is on Master/slave Dynamics; Leather Culture and History; Lifestyle Relationships; and Service Skills. CLF does not have an on-site play party.
CLF does not have exclusive use of the hotel for this event. Fetish wear is not prohibited and is in fact encouraged; however, members should keep their attire to a “PG-Rated” level rather than “R-Rated” or “X-Rated” in public areas. The hotel knows the nature of our activities and asks only that we use good judgment and discretion in the lobby, hallways and other common areas of the hotels. No bare breasts or exposed genitalia or buttocks are allowed in the public areas of the hotel, and all SM-related tools and toys must be covered in public areas of the hotel.
CLF is an adult oriented event where adult language, situations and possible partial nudity may be present. I understand that this is an adult event and that I affirm that I will not be offended by the presence of such adult themes, language and behaviors.
I am aware that CLF pre-authorized media members may have photo privileges throughout the weekend. Members without a visible colored name badge insert authorize and permit, as part of their membership, Colorado Leather Fest and its media designees to use their name badge name, likeness and all reproduction thereof in any and all media now or hereafter. This includes use of photos for marketing on social media, the CLF website, and other locations.
If you do not wish your photo to be taken at the event, please request a colored name badge insert when you register.
